13-Year-Old All-Stars

Seabrook YMCA’s 13-Year-Old All-Stars played in the District Tournament this past weekend in Malven.

After losing the first game of the tournament to Bryant they came back on Sunday to beat Malvern, the host team, 17 to 5. The win was highlighted by a strong pitching performance from Hayden Lessenberry, who struck out 7 and allowed only 4 hits in 5 innings of play.

Lessenberry also contributed at the plate going 2 for 3 along with teammates V.J. Dickson and Paul DeWalt, both adding a 2 for 3 performance of their own.

In the second game of the day behind another solid pitching performance, this time from Ryan Green, who pitched 7 strong innings striking out 4.

Despite outstanding pitching and outstanding offense, from Lessenberry going 5 for 5 and Larry Williams going 2 for 3, the Seabrook All-Stars fell to White Hall 13-8 in a hard fought game that was closer than the final score would indicate.
