WHITE HALL 11-YEAR-OLDS WIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

The White Hall 11-year-old All-Stars wrapped up the Little League State Tournament Monday with a 9-1 win against Northeast Arkansas Central.
Alec Hartz was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a solo home run. Kirk Baugh was also 3-for-4 with two RBIs while Justin Archer, B.J. Pullman, Conner Freeman and Blake James had hits, with Freeman recording two RBIs.
NEA Central scored one run in the first, but White Hall scored one in the first, three in the second, two in the fourth and three in the sixth to build the lead. Daniel Gray pitched three innings for the win, striking out three and walking two, while Archer closed out the final three innings, striking out four and walking one.
White Hall defeated NEA Central 13-3 Friday before beating Blytheville 7-0 to advance to the finals.
“That Blytheville game was a great game,” White Hall coach Russ Sparks said. “It was 0-0 heading into the fifth before we scored five runs in the inning.”
White Hall moves on to the Southwest Regional beginning on Aug. 2.
Westside (La.) 7, Seabrook 3
The Pine Bluff Seabrook 7- and 8-year-old All-Stars’ season ended Monday with a 7-3 loss to Westside, La., in the semifinals of the Cal Ripken Southwest Regional.
Seabrook defeated Lakewood Blue of Little Rock 17-5 and Bentonville 16-2 to advance out of pool play as the No. 4 seed. Pine Bluff then racked up wins against Harrison, Jackson, La., and Batesville, with the Batesville win the closest at 11-5.
Jaylon Deshaizer hit a grand slam in the 14-2 rout of Jackson.
Seabrook finished in the top four of the regional after finishing fourth of 47 teams at the state tournament.
Eagle Pass (Tex.) 11, Seabrook 4
The Pine Bluff Seabrook 9-year-old All-Stars fell to Eagle Pass, Texas, 11-4 Monday night to finish sixth place in the Southwest Regional Tournament.
Simeon Blair led Seabrook in hitting with a two-hit game while Bernard Black pitched four innings and Brandon Little pitched two.
Pine Bluff beat Bryant 3-2 earlier in the day on two-hit games by Blair and Jonathan Harris. Blair also pitched a complete game for the win.
