A Pine Bluff man who was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center after being hit by a vehicle Thursday night was still hospitalized Friday.

Hospital spokeswoman Lisa Rowland said Royce Cummings, 46, of 2317 S. Pine St., was in good condition late Friday afternoon.

Police Traffic officer David Ellington said Cummings was hit by a 1991 Ford Explorer that was southbound on Olive Street at 8:20 p.m., driven by Leroy J. Croseford, 56, of 3311 Main St.

Several witnesses told police Cummings walked out in front of the vehicle at the Valero, 2202 S. Olive St., and was hit.

A breath alcohol test administered on Crose-ford resulted in a reading of .00, Ellington said in his report.

There were no citations issued.
