Paul McDermott
Paul McDermott, 33, of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008.
Paul was born June 17, 1975, in West Memphis, Ark., to James Thomas McDermott and Mary Mitchell McDermott. He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff.
Paul had various jobs in the restaurant industry in Pine Bluff, Fayetteville, and Lilburn, Ga.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Butler Hunting Club.
Paul loved to spend time with senior citizens and children. He was an avid sports, hunting and fishing fan. He loved listening to music and tinkering with model railroading.
He is survived by his parents, James Thomas McDermott and Mary Mitchell McDermott of Rison; a sister and brother-in-law, Samantha and Rodney Webb of Woodlawn; two nieces, Cameron and Kaitlyn Webb of Woodlawn; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sarah and James Mitchell, Jim McDermott, Pauline McDermott Cox and Edward Cox.
The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Robinson’s.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. Harold Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials take the form of contributions to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, attn: Cardiology Department, 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72203.
Pauline Robinson
Pauline Browning Robinson, 85, of East End, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
She was born Aug. 1, 1923 in Kedron (Cleveland County), Ark., daughter of Alphew and Macel Hill Browning.
Mrs. Robinson was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff.
She worked as a nurse's aid for Jefferson Regional Medical Center for several years.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of East End Assembly of God, past member of Forrest Park Assembly of God in Pine Bluff and past member of Order of Eastern Star Sulphur Springs Lodge. She enjoyed all kinds of hand work including needlework and ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight A. Robinson, whom she married Nov. 14, 1973 in Pine Bluff; her parents; daughter, Laura Burns Hunter; and two step-sisters, Veoma Bass and Beatrice Ballew.
Survivors include her son, Richard L. Ranniger of Fayetteville; daughter, Ruth Johnston of Hensley; brother, Barron Browning of Little Rock; four sisters, Mary Reed of Pine Bluff, Betty Reed of El Dorado, Shirley Browning of Pine Bluff and Barbara Garrison of White Hall; four grandchildren, Beth McGarity of White Hall, Matt Johnston of Elkins, Tami Watson of White Hall and Richard Ranniger of Siloam Springs; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. Bob Minick, Rev. Terry Newman and Rev. Arlis Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Home Cemetery near Star City. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson's.

Eva Bradford
HAMPTON — Eva Mae Herring Bradford, 91, of Hampton died Saturday at home.
She was born March 1, 1917 at Johnsville, a daughter of the late Grover C. Herring and Ethel Ferrell Herring.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters; a son; three brothers; two sisters; five grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and member of the West Side Baptist Church at Warren.
Survivors include three sons; five daughters; one brother; three sisters; 29 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Monday at Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren. Burial in Parker Prospect Cemetery.
Felton Thornton Sr., 82, of Pine Bluff died Sunday at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veteran’s Hospital at Little Rock. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Perry Funeral Home. |
