Sam Gulutzo
Sam Francis Gulutzo, 81, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008.
He was born Dec. 30, 1926, at Chicago, Ill., a son of John and Sarah A. Cirincone Gulutzo.
He was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Gulutzo moved to North Little Rock in 1966, where he lived for 35 years, before returning to Pine Bluff in 2001.
Mr. Gulutzo retired from the Enmar Incorporation.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pine Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Miller Gulutzo, whom he married in 1961, at Pine Bluff; his parents; a stepmother, Concetta Gulutzo; a stepdaughter, Marie Ballentine; and two brothers, Charles Gulutzo and Joseph Gulutzo.
Survivors include two sons, John Gulutzo (Sharron) of Mayflower, Steve Gulutzo (Tina) of Wye Mountain; a daughter, Sarah Seavers (Kenneth) of North Little Rock; a sister, Tena Gulutzo of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held today starting at 6 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father L. Warren Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
A special thanks to Arkansas Hospice which help take care of Mr. Gulutzo.

Sharon Pruitt
MONTICELLO — Sharon Kay Pruitt, age 62, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Drew Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 26, 1945, in Hermitage.
She was a retired school cafeteria worker and a member of First Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Mitchell Gorman and Madge Louise Edney Gorman.
Sharon was a loving wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Pruitt of Monticello; one son, Gary Dewayne Pruitt of Warren; two daughters, Stephanie Harton of Warren and Susan Michelle Harmon of Monticello; one brother, Billy Gorman of Hermitage; one sister, Dorothy Sharp; and six grandchildren.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial in Shady Grove Cemetery near Jersey. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman.
Katie Jo Shelby
STAR CITY — Katie Jo Shelby of Star City was born and died Monday at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas.
Survivors include her mother, Jennifer Green; father, Bobby Joe Shelby; brothers, Rocky Shelby, Kyle Shelby, Tyler Shelby; sisters, Ky’Leigh Shelby, Chelsia Shelby; maternal grandparents, David and Charlotte Green; paternal grandparents, Joe and Retha Shelby; maternal great-grandparents, Earl and Betty Green, Betty Sullins, all of Star City; and numerous aunts, uncles and other family members.
Memorials may be made to the Jennifer Green Fund at Simmons First Bank in Star City.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Butler/Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Star City. Bro. Allen Hagood will officiate.

Kevin Cornish
WARREN — Kevin Wayne “Boogie” Cornish, 50, of Warren died Wednesday at Wagnon Place Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 20, 1957, at Monette, a son of the late Lester Cornish and Lillian Click Cornish.
Survivors include two brothers, Tommie Cornish and Billy Joe Cornish, both of Warren; seven sisters, Lana Clark, Leslie Thompson, Dianne Mann, Denise Leslie, Kaylon Douglass, all of Warren, Monica Halley of Monticello, and Abigail Mann of Hot Springs.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Friday at Frazer’s Funeral Home at Warren. Burial: Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Lydia Smith
WHITE HALL — Lydia Aileen Smith, age 74, of White Hall, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Jefferson County, a daughter of the late Dee William and Alma Frances Taylor Hurst.
Mrs. Smith was reared and educated in Jefferson County and was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School.
She was a member of Good Faith-Carr United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Smith and Edwin Clark Smith; and in 1996, by her husband, Noble Edwin Smith, whom she married Dec. 2, 1952, in Pine Bluff.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Lynn Smith-Brown and husband Charles R. Brown of White Hall; a son, Douglas Lee Smith of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Frances McGraw and Phyllis Davis, both of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren, Kris G. Brown, Shea Smith and Amy Boals; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Chaplain John Brown officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Cemetery.
The family will be at the home, 1201 McDaniel in White Hall.
