DEATHS FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2008
Gerry Barringer
Gerry Hamaker Moseley Barringer, 90, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Trinity Village Medical Center.
Born Sept. 22, 1918, in New Edinburg, she was a daughter of Barney and Dora Mitchell Hamaker.
Mrs. Barringer was reared and educated in New Edinburg. She was a 1937 graduate of New Edinburg High School. She moved to Pine Bluff in 1942. Mrs. Barringer worked as a day care director for Immanuel Baptist Church for seventeen years, retiring in 1989. She was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Barringer was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul Moseley; her second husband, Audis Barringer.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Patrick and Jill Moseley of Hot Springs; step-daughter and son-in-law, Donna and David Mazzanti of Pine Bluff; step-son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sissy Barringer of New Edinburg; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, in Moseley Cemetery (Bradley County) with Rev. Don Taylor officiating and under the direction of Ralph Robinson & Son.

Charles Crutchfield
LEOLA — Charles Crutchfield, age 55, of Leola passed away Friday. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Herrington.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Crutchfield; step-daughter, Kristy Devlon; father, Carl Crutchfield; brother, Robert Herrington; sister Vera Smith.

Roston Chapman
MONTICELLO — Roston Ashton Chapman, 68, of Monticello passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Drew Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born Sept. 23, 1940, in Monticello.
He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He had left his handprints on many homes that he has built here and on Petit Jean Mountain, where he and Shirley lived for a while, next door to his only surviving Uncle, Lonnie Gasaway. He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Bert Chapman.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Shirley Faye Spears Chapman of Monticello; two sons, Timothy Wade Chapman and wife Sonya of Monticello and Kristopher Kyle Chapman and wife Brooke of Little Rock; his mother Verlie Gasaway Chapman of Monticello; four brothers, Walter Stinson Chapman of Monticello, Gene Allen Chapman of Del Rio, Texas, Bert Laron Chapman of Pine Bluff and Michael Paul Chapman of Coulterville, Ill.; two sisters, Wanda Rose Hurt of Humboldt, Tenn., and Regina Dianne Sellers of North Little Rock; three grandchildren, Kyla Chapman, Krystal Chapman and Kyle Preston Chapman; and one great-grandchild, Dakota Hayes; a host of friends and relatives who knew and loved him well.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Chapman Cemetery at Blue, arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

STAR CITY — Dwight David Record, 50, of Star City died Friday. He was born Nov. 23, 1957, at Tyro to the late Ocie Clayton and Okie Dixon Record.
Survivors include four brothers, William Keith Jewel, Cocean Record, Ricky Bradford Record, Odell Record; two sisters, Anna Jean Jackson, Patricia Emily Dixon.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Brother J. C. Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in Tyro Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

SHERIDAN — Anna B. Young, 90, of Sheridan died Thursday.
Survivors: Son, Ronald Young of Sardis; Daughters, Judy Lewis of Locus Grove, Ga., Patty Nelson of Sheridan; Sister, Pauline Craig of Du Bois, Penn.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.

Anne Bryan
WATSON — Anne Bryan, 81, of Watson, Ark., died Nov. 21, member of Kelso Baptist Church and secretary/teasurer for Kelso Water Works.
Anne was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Rosedale, Miss.
Survivors are son David and Glenda Bryan, Huntsville, Texas; daughter Beth and Ken Robertson, Watson, Ark.; four grandchildren, Susanne and Kenny Burns, Lori and Kevin Hill, Will and Bryan Robertson; great-grandchildren Kirby Hill, Kenny Burns, Connor Thurman, Kolby Hill and Jessica Bryan.
