HYANNIS PORT, Mass. — The bereaved parents of assassinated President John F. Kennedy prepared today for a Thanksgiving family reunion marred by grief over the death of their eldest son.
The late President’s two surviving brothers and three sisters and their families are expected for the customary turkey dinner tomorrow.
And so is Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, the young widow of the President, and her two children, Caroline, 6 today, and John, whose third birthday was Monday.

LITTLE ROCK — The state legislator who has proposed a lottery to benefit education in Arkansas says reaction to his idea so far is running 50 to 1 in favor of it.
State Representative Doug Wood of Sherwood said he’d received two letters of opposition to the lottery proposal, but had picked up 100 volunteers ready to work for it.
