‘ANNIE’ AUDITIONS, FASHION SHOW LEAD WEEK’S ACTIVITIES

Auditions for “Annie,” Easter fashion and a gathering for soldiers highlight this week’s activities.
All are welcome to audition for “Annie” at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St. Auditions are set at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday with callbacks Saturday.
“Annie” will hit the stage May 15-17 with school shows May 14. For more information, contact the center at (870) 536-3375 or visit the Web site at www.artssciencecenter.org.
A fundraising Easter Fashion Parade with style show and luncheon is set at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $25. Attendees have a chance to win a diamond Star Cross necklace donated by Sissy’s Log Cabin.
The 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Reintegration event will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Convention Center. People interested in providing donations may contact Susie Madsen at 536-7600. Items for gift bags may be delivered to the Convention Center’s front office until the bags are ready to go.

Interested Citizens for Voter Registration and a representative from the Department of Human Services will hold a meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. Details: Call 536-7274.
Pine Bluff native Sabra Inzer paintings will go on display Monday through Friday at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas; a reception will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday at the center. The reception and exhibit are free.
A representative of U.S. Rep. Mike Ross’ office will be available to assist residents with issues related to the federal government. On Wednesday, staff will visit Cleveland County Courthouse in Rison, 9-10 a.m.; Lincoln County Ledger at Star City, 10:30-11:30 a.m.; Gould City Hall at Gould, 1-2 p.m.; and White Hall City Hall at White Hall, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
A storm spotter training class will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Service Center at 6 p.m. today. The free class will be co-sponsored by the National Weather Service at North Little Rock, the Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management, and the Southeast Arkansas Chapter of the American Red Cross. The Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County will hold its annual meeting Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Country Club.
Pine Bluff City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. today at city council chambers at the civic center.
Pine Bluff Rotary Club will meet at noon Tuesday at the Pine Bluff Country Club. John Graham, director of bands at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, will be the speaker.
