80 Years Ago March 16, 1929 To increase the efficiency and lower the operating costs of the A.M. and N. school for blacks at its new site on the Free Bridge road in the suburbs of Pine Bluff, plans now are being worked out to have the Arkansas Natural Gas company lay a line to connect its main with the school, Harry I. Holderness announced today. Mr. Holderness is the member of the honorary board which has supervision over the school from the sixth congressional district.
