George Bell
George Bell, 101, of Pine Bluff, died March 24 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 16, 1907, at Dumas to the late Sam Bell and Betty Bell.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, wife, Pearl Bell, three sons, one daughter, and one brother.
Survivors include four sons, Jimmy Bell, Johnny Bell, George Bell Jr., and Sammie Bell; two daughters, Pauline Bell and Pearlie Bell; and 48 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at Christian Way Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens.
Sharon Bullard
Mrs. Sharon Ann Bullard, 59, of Pine Bluff died Tuesday, March 24, 2009. She was born to the late Robert and Verdell Bullard in Pine Bluff.
Survivors: daughter Ericka Clemmons of Clarksville, Ind.; brother Robert Bullard Jr., of Pine Bluff; two grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, March 28, 2009, at St. Paul Baptist Church by Rev. Steven King at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Belwood Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-6:30 p.m., with family hour from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday.
The body will lie in state on Saturday from 2:15 p.m. until time of service.
Rose Mary Hunt
Rose Mary Hunt, 63, of Pine Bluff died March 23, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 25, 1945, in Sherrill, Ark., to the late Johnnie Miles and Susie McIntrie Miles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis Hunt; one daughter, Kimberly Miles of Pine Bluff; one stepdaughter, Bessie Smith of Pine Bluff, Ark.; four stepsons, Lewis Hunt Jr., and Tom Hunt, both of Pine Bluff, Ark., Dexter Hunt and Michael Hunt, both of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Willie Mae Martin of Sherrill, Ark., Mable Norwood of Chicago, Ill., and Dorothy Merkson of St. Louis, Mo.; four brothers, Roosevelt Miles of Sherrill, Ark., Ollie Miles of Milwaukee, Wis.., Albert Strong of Flint, Mich., and Johnnie Miles Jr., of St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill, Ark.
Burial will be in Elvin Smith Cemetery in Sherrill, Ark.
The body will lie in state from 10:15 a.m. until time of service.
Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at Christian Way Funeral Home.
Clyde Jordan Jr.
Clyde Jordan Jr., “Brutt,” 67, was born April 4, 1941, in Grady, Ark., to the late Mr. Clyde Jordan Sr., and Mrs. Cornelious Barnes Jordan. He departed this life March 18, 2009, in Little Rock, Ark.
He worked for the Pine Bluff Housing Authority for a number of years until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, two sisters.
Survivors include four daughters, Janice Henderson, Tameka Jordan, Latasha Shavers, all of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Barbara Ann Jordan of Paramount, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Regina Richmond of Pine Bluff, Ark.; six sons, Clyde Jordan III, Robert Lee Jordan, Michael Jordan, Alvin Thomas, Bryan Jordan, all of Pine Bluff, Ark., and James Roy Jordan of Canton, Ohio; three stepsons, Toney Brown and Tyrone Tilman, both of Pine Bluff, and Eric Tilman of Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, Nathaniel Jordan of Cincinnati, Ohio and Archie Lee Jordan of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Bobbie Davis of Detroit, Mich., Claritha Bell of Little Rock, Ark., and Martha Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio; special friends Mr. and Mrs. Calvester and Allen Adams of Pine Bluff, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Henson Cemetery by Christian Way Funeral Home.
Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at the Trinity Annex Building at 2900 W. 6th Ave.
Christopher Lancaster
Christopher Lamond Lancaster, 28, of Pine Bluff died March 17 at Pine Bluff.
He was born Dec. 8, 1980, at Pine Bluff, a son of William C. Lancaster and Plummie Lancaster of Pine Bluff.
Other survivors four brothers, Dwight Lancaster, Orlando Lancaster, Shaun Lancaster and Clifton Lancaster, all of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Barbara Boston and Priscilla Lancaster, both of Pine Bluff; grandfather Dave Buckhanan of Brand, Texas; and grandmother Amey Lancaster of White Hall.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry C. Battles officiating. Burial will be in Henson Memorial Garden by Henson Mortuary.
Visitation will be Friday, 5-6 p.m. at the mortuary.

Alfonso Royal
Mr. Alfonso Crawley Royal, 91, of Pine Bluff died Saturday, March 21, 2009. He was born in Eudora to the late Alfonso D. Royal Sr., and Cora Wilson.
Survivors: wife, Lucille Royal; sons Willie Royal, Anthony Royal, all of Pine Bluff, Larry Royal of Little Rock; daughters Velma Winfry of East St. Louis, Ill., Patricia Johnson of Pine Bluff; brothers, Carl Royal Sr., of Lakewood, Wash., Alfonso D. Royal Jr., Galveston, Texas, Eddie Royal Glover, Rio Pico, Ariz., Roland Royal, Chicago; sisters, Evelyn Jones, Knoxville, Tenn., Beatrice Williams, Philadelphia, Pa., Doris Gillum, Bowling Green, Ky., Ada Haley, Chicago; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday, March 28, 2009, at St. Peter’s Rock Baptist Church by Rev. H.C. Curry Jr. at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Body will lie in state on Saturday from 9:45 a.m. until time of service.
Carson Humphries
HOT SPRINGS — Carson Lewis Humphries of Hot Springs was born and died March 23 at Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include his parents, J.J. and Amy Humphries; sister, Sarah Jessica Humphries; grandparents Jerry and Pat Humphries and Joe and Donna Yancey; great grandmothers, Mildred Gartman and Margaret Yancey.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan.
Mary Ann Willis
LITTLE ROCK — Mary Ann Willis, 34, of Little Rock died March 19 at St. Vincent Infirmary at Little Rock.
She was born Oct. 3, 1974, at Little Rock, a daughter of Francis Mae Willis of Little Rock and the late Bruce Epperson.
Other survivors include two sons, Aaron Willis and David B. McCoy, both of Little Rock; one sister, Trisha Sykes of Pine Bluff.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Henson Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Michael Love officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Memorial Garden.
Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Linda Guin
MONTICELLO — Linda Carol Craddock Guin, age 62, of Monticello passed away March 24, 2009, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Jackson, Miss.
She was retired from Burlington Industries and was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred B. Craddock Sr. and Mary Brantley Craddock, and a daughter, Lisa McHenry Trantham.
Survivors include one son, Steve Guin and wife Kelly of Monticello; two grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsey; and her best friend, Willie Higgins.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial in Union Ridge Cemetery by Stephenson-Dearman.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Vivian Self
MONTICELLO — Vivian Viola Roland Self, 91, of Monticello, formerly of Greenville, died Wednesday at Golden Living Center. She was born March 5, 1918, at Greenville, Miss.
She was the widow of Maxie E. Self Sr., a retired accountant, and a Methodist.
Survivors include two sons, Clint R. Self and Maxie E. Self Jr., both of Monticello; one daughter, Hilda Dunemn of Monticello; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rose Callaway
TARRY — Funeral services for Rose Marie Callaway, 49, of Tarry, Ark., who died March 25, will be Saturday, 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive AME Church, Rev. Lonzie Mays officiating.
She was born Oct. 10, 1959 in Tarry, Ark., daughter of the late William Callaway and Earnestine Dancy.
She received her early education in the Pine Bluff School District.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ella M. Sargent, and one grandchild.
Survivors: Curtis Love of Starkville, Miss.; stepfather Henry Mackrell Sr., Tarry; two sons, Marcus Shelton, Dwight Shelton, both of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Willie M. (Joe) Patterson, Tarry and Tina Mackrell, Pine Bluff; three brothers, Henry (Sherry) Mackrell, Dewayne Mackrell, Terry Callaway, both of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren.
Visitations may be made Friday 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Earnestine Dancy
TARRY — Funeral services for Earnestine Dancy, 69, of Tarry, who died March 19 at her home will be Saturday, 11 a.m., Mt. Olive AME Church at Tarry, Rev. Lonzie Mays officiating.
She was born June 29, 1939, in Swan Lake, Ark., daughter of the late Earnest and Bertha Dancy.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Ella M. Sargent and Rose Callaway, and one sister, Elmer Dancy.
Survivors: Henry Mackrell Sr., Tarry; two sons, Henry Mackrell Jr. (Sherry), Dwayne Mackrell, both of Pine Bluff; one daughter Willie M. (Joe) Patterson, Tarry; three sisters, Mozella Rollins, Little Rock, Maggie Edwards, Pine Bluff, Daisy M. Dancy, Chicago, Ill.; special aunt Mozella Larry, Little Rock; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

Elfreda McLeymore
TUCKER — Elfreda McLeymore, 92, of Tucker died Monday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 15, 1916, at Shreveport, La., the daughter of Brown and Irene Collins.
She and her late husband, Joshua McLeymore were the proud founders of the Mission Temple Church of God in Christ on West Short Third Street, Pine Bluff, Ark.
Survivors include four sisters, Leester Odell and Estella Robinson (James) of Detroit, Mich., Odessa Eaton of Milwaukee, Wis.., and Bessie Hopkins of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ at Ferda, Ark., by Elder Charles Parks. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Pine Bluff.
Mrs. McLeymore will lie in repose at the church from 1 until 2 p.m.
Reba Cope
WOODLAWN — Reba L. Cope, age 89, of Woodlawn died, Wednesday, March 25, 2009. She was born May 10, 1919, in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late John H. Williams and Ruby Vent Williams. Mrs. Cope was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Quinton “Pete” Cope.
Ms. Cope is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jerry Davis of Wilmar; one sister, Marcelline Clement of Woodlawn; two grandchildren and spouses, Randall and Angela Davis, Calvin and Brandie Davis; four great grandchildren, Faith Davis, Megan Davis, Austin Davis and Hope Davis.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2009 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Woodlawn with Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Gary Cope, Keith Wolfe, Robert Lawson, Mike Clement, John Clement and Dennis Clement.
