Doris Greenwood

WARREN — Doris Jarrett Greenwood, 79, of Warren died Saturday at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

She was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late John William Jarrett and Thelma Sanders Jarrett Bradley.

She was retired from Southwestern Bell, the Warren Public Schools Day Care, and a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Vicki Stanley of Hermitage, Dixie Young of Independence, Mo., and Pam Spraggins of Rogers; one brother; one sister; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services 10 a.m. Monday at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial in Moseley Cemetery.

Dewey Chidester

BASTROP, La. — Dewey Wayne Chidester, 72, of Bastrop, La., died Saturday at Cherry Ridge Guest Care at Bastrop.

He was born Dec. 3, 1936 at Warren, Ark., a son of the late Doyle Curry Chidester and Sallie Neal Chidester.

He was of the Freewill Baptist faith.

Survivors include two brothers, Tommy Chidester of Crossett and Curtis Chidester of Bastrop; and one sister, Barbara Ortego of West Monroe, La.

Funeral services 4 p.m. Wednesday at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren. Burial in Willoughby Cemetery near Warren.

Visitation 3:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Doretha Johnson, 75, of Pine Bluff died Saturday at her home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Pine Bluff Mortuary Co.

Martha Turner, 76, died Sunday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
