AG STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN QUIZ BOWL

MONTICELLO — Seven University of Arkansas at Monticello agriculture students participated in the 2009 SAEA Quiz Bowl competition in Atlanta, Ga. Corey Bryant of Monticello was a member of the championship team and Chris Bryant of Monticello was a member of the first runner-up team.

Other UAM students in the competition were Jeff Anderson of Grapevine, Julie Spraggins of Warren, Sara Beth Waller of Hickory Plains, Shelby Williams of Little Rock, and Hunter Williamson of Pine Bluff. Faculty adviser for the UAM participants was Dr. Bob Stark, who also served as a judge and reader during parts of the competition.

Quiz Bowl is an undergraduate student activity of the Southern Agricultural Economics Association that tests student knowledge over eight categories — microeconomics, macroeconomics, resource policy, quantitative, agribusiness and finance, marketing, management, and potpourri.
