Roy Murtishaw
Roy Allen Murtishaw, 65, of Pine Bluff, Ark., passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, at his home.
Born Aug. 6, 1943, in El Dorado, Ark., he was the son of the late Lamoine and Nina Nixon Murtishaw.
He grew up in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He then attended the University of Arkansas on a tennis scholarship and was an active member of Phi Delta Theta. He received his Masters in Psychology in 1965.
Mr. Murtishaw returned to Pine Bluff and opened his own private practice in psychology. He continued to play tennis throughout his life and taught the love of tennis to many beginning players. He was involved with the Shepherds Center, where he taught bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Victor Strickland.
He is survived by his sons, Scott Murtishaw and his wife, Betty, of Berkeley, Calif., and Zachary Cronin of Little Rock; two brothers, Donald Murtishaw of Pine Bluff and Huey Strickland of Overland Park, Kan.; and his longtime companion, Paula Findley of Pine Bluff.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Eden Park Country Club, 901 W. 41st St., in Pine Bluff. The family was assisted by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Jacquelyn McNealey
HUMPHREY — Ms. Jacquelyn Renae McNealey, 39, of Humphrey, passed Tuesday, April 28, 2009.
She was born in Humphrey to Lucille McNealey of Humphrey and the late Robert Lowe.
She is survived by her brother, James S. Jones; sisters, Erma McNeil and Melva Bowie, all of Humphrey.
Her services will be Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Mt. Olive COGIC in Humphrey by Rev. Lonnie Burton at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Flynn Cemetery in Humnoke.
Visitation will be today, May 1, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
The body will lie in state at the church from 9:45 a.m. until time of service. The family will be at 100 N. Division St., Humphrey, Ark.
Juanita Moss
MONTICELLO — Juanita Louise Foor Moss, 84, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Drew Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 14, 1925 in Kalamazoo, Mich., the daughter of the late Henry Foor and Edna Ratcliff Foor.
She was the retired office manager for K.C. Moss and Company, was a secretary for Earl Willis at Drew Central High School for several years and an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Monticello. Her biggest job was raising a family of three boys and one girl, while her husband worked several jobs to support their family. She was a soul mate of her husband for 63 years, always supporting him in all of his endeavors. She was president of the Drew Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for two years.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Kermit C. Moss of Monticello; three sons, Dr. Steven Moss of Hermosa Beach, Calif., twin sons, William “Bill” Moss and companion, Dr. Malinda Chadsey of Pine Bluff and Robert “Bob” Moss of Monticello; one daughter, Eugenia “Gena” Moss Burson and husband, Jack of Boulder, Colo.; two brothers, Bruce Badger of Florida and Herbert Foor of Michigan; five grandchildren, Clint Burson and wife, Jessica of Montana, Callie Payne and husband, James of Boulder, Colo., David Moss and wife, Kelly of Jacksonville, Ark., Clayton Moss and wife, Mandy of Monticello and Hanna Moss of Pine Bluff; five great-grandchildren
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial in Oakland Cemetery, arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials to: First Presbyterian Church, 821 N. Main, Monticello, Ark., 71655.
James Jones
STAR CITY — James Russell Jones, 87, of Star City died Monday at Gardner Nursing Home at Star City.
Survivors include three sons, three daughters, three stepsons and two stepdaughters.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Dorothy Evelyn Jones and Annie Jones; and one daughter, Donna Jones.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Best Cemetery at Star City. Arrangements are by Griffin Funeral Service at Star City.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. Saturday in the cemetery before the service.
James Banks of Pine Bluff died Thursday at his home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by P.K. Miller Mortuary.
Barbara Green of Pine Bluff died Thursday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Henson Mortuary.
Grover Holland, 69, of Pine Bluff died Thursday. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
