Lois Huey
BRYANT — Lois Jaggers Huey, 89, of Bryant, passed away May 18, 2009, at Arkansas Hospice Hospital in Little Rock.
She was born to the late Eugene and Allie Frazier in Princeton, Texas, on June 26, 1919.
Mrs. Huey was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and worked at Benton Services Center in the Canteen.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Carroll Jaggers and Crawford Huey; three brothers, Shorty, Edgar, and C.L. Frazier of Winnfield, La.; one sister, Hazel Bell of Baton Rouge, La., and a son-in-law, Tom Greer of Bauxite.
Survivors: daughters, Hazel Tucker and husband, Louis, Pine Bluff, Barbara Greer, Bauxite; four grandchildren, Judy Cook and husband, Tom, Burnsville, Minn., Sandra Graves and husband, Jerry, Henry Tucker of Pine Bluff, Kim Greer of Benton; eight great-grandchildren, Amber McKnight and husband, Paul of Rison, Sergeant Jeremy Graves of Fort Stewart, Savannah, Ga., Robby Graves and Henley Tucker of Pine Bluff, Drew and Kelby Cook of Burnsville, Minn., and Brittni and Zack Brown of Benton; one great-great-grandson, Tucker McKnight of Rison, and friends at Fox Ridge Assisted Living.
Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Thursday with Brother Mike Titsworth officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Ashbys, today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Sharon Morgan
MCGEHEE — Sharon L. Morgan, 68, of McGehee died Monday at Dermott City Nursing Home in Dermott.
She was born March 4, 1941, at Newport, a daughter of the late Leon Ragan and Hazel Moyer Ragan.
Survivors include son, Mike Morgan; brother, Tom Ragan; sister, Elizabeth Ragan; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Griffin Funeral Service at McGehee.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service.
James Hurst
RISON — James Calvin Hurst, age 73, of Rison, died, Monday, May 18, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
He was born July 18, 1935, in Cleveland County, a son of the late Cecil Leon Hurst and Beatrice McGriff Hurst.
Mr. Hurst retired from Central Moloney, where he was an electrician, and was a Missionary Baptist.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Betty Hurst; two brothers, Hurschel Hurst, Miles “Dub” Hurst; one sister, Laverne Crook.
He is survived by two sons, Larry Hurst of Herington, Kan., Terry Hurst of Rison; one sister, Marie Linzy of Star City; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

George Richardson
RISON — George W. Richardson, age 73, of the Pansy community near Rison, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
He was born Sept. 1, 1935, in the Herbine community, a son of the late J.B. and Hallie Ashcraft Richardson.
Mr. Richardson graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1953. He married Mary Langford on Nov. 30, 1956. Mr. Richardson retired from International Paper Mill after 39 years of service, and was a member of Bethel No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He was also a member of Macedonia and Arkansas Mission Builders and the Pansy Fire Department. Mr. Richardson enjoyed youth baseball which he coached for many years, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Richardson.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Mary Langford Richardson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Terri Richardson, Tommy and Leigh Richardson, all of the Pansy community; one daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Kyle Campbell of Dallas, Texas; one brother, John Richardson of Milo, Ark.; four grandchildren, Kasey, Allie, Jacob and Will Richardson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Bethel No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Wade Peddy and Brother Bob Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, May 20, 2009, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Mission Builders.

Alvin Hawley Sr.
WARREN — Alvin Charles Hawley Sr., 73, of Warren died Saturday at Bradley County Medical Center.
He was born May 21, 1935, in Flint, Mich., a son of the late Howard Hawley and Mary Gunfell Hawley.
Survivors: sons, Alvin Charles Hawley Jr. of Warren and William “Boddie” Griffin of Pine Bluff; daughters, Alisa Adams of Warren and Cara R. Mays of Pine Bluff; brothers, Bill Hawley and Erwin Hawley, both of Michigan; sisters, Mable Starkey and Barbara Knett, both of Michigan; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services: 2 p.m. today at Frazer’s Funeral Home at Warren. Burial with flag presentation: Oakland Cemetery.
