DEATHS FOR TUESDAY MAY 26, 2009

Oscar Moore

Oscar Odell Moore, 75, of Pine Bluff died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.

Mr. Moore was born March 6, 1934, in Albion, Okla., to Clint and Martha Lett Moore.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a Pipefitter and Boiler maker.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Butcalis Moore (married July 6, 1956, in Greenville, Miss.); one son, Sam Moore of White Hall; two grandsons, Zachary and Benjamin Moore of White Hall; one stepson, Danny Roberts of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Velma Sutton of Washington and Betty Sutton and Beatrice Parks of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Ronald Roberts; a brother, John; and a sister, Deanie.

Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson’s.

Milus Gallion

CONWAY — Milus Gallion, 91, of Conway, formerly of McGehee, died Friday at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, Ark.

He was born Oct. 5, 1917 in Steve, Ark., to the late Carroll C. Gallion and Minnie Orrell Gallion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Sweeney Gallion, and a son, Andy Gallion.

He is survived by two sons, Norman Gallion of Snohomish, Wash., and Howard Gallion of Globe, Ariz., and one sister, Bertha Glasscock of Conway.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 26 at Pleasant Springs Cemetery with Rev. C.E. Van Ness as officiant. Griffin Funeral Service of McGehee, Ark., is responsible for completing arrangements.

Leon Jeffers

CONWAY — Leon Jeffers, 66, of Conway, died Saturday.

Survivors include wife, Shelby Lucas Jeffers of Conway; daughters, Jessica Jeffers of Westlake, La., Ashley Kilpatrick of Conway, Glenda Miller of Mayflower and Evelyn Haynes of Crossett; brothers, Jerry Jeffers of Hamburg and Melvin Jeffers Jr. of Eureka Springs; sisters, Darlene Paccio and Lois Martin, both of Hamburg; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services are 4 p.m. tomorrow in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home chapel in Hamburg. Burial: Flat Creek Cemetery.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gary Potts

ICO — Gary William “Mudhog” Potts, 52, of the Ico community near Sheridan died Saturday.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Gottfried Potts of Ico; daughters, Kristi Heavner of East End and Misti Jenkins of Ico; parents, William “Bull” and Nancy Crabtrey Potts of East End; brother, Ricky Potts of East End; sister, Bonnie Stratton of Sheridan; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. tomorrow at East Union Baptist Church in East End . Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Ico.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Edna Felts

STAR CITY — Edna P. Felts, 83, of Star City, formerly of Stuttgart, died Sunday.

She was born June 11, 1925, in Thayer, Mo., to the late Jim and Doris Groom Sparks.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Espy Felts; sister, Ethel Sparks; and brother, H.E. Sparks.

Survivors include son, John Manly of Star City; sisters, Evelyn Henderson and Elsie Crosby, both of Stuttgart; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. today at Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart with Frank Matchett officiating.

Susan Thomason

WARREN — Susan Estelle Harton Thomason, 43, of Warren died Sunday at Bradley County Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 6, 1965 in Warren.

Survivors include husband, Steve Thomason, whom she married Aug. 15, 1989 in Warren; sons, Trent Thomason of Arkadelphia and Trey Thomason, Derek Grice and Curt Thomason, all of Warren; parents, Curtis Harton and Ilene Brown Harton of Warren; and brothers, Ronny Harton and Mike Harton, both of Warren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.

Silas A. Ferguson, 79, of Pine Bluff died Sunday at his home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
