SANDRA GIFFORD

Sandra (Sandy) Gail Gifford, 58, of Pine Bluff died Friday, May 22, 200, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Sandy was born Oct. 24, 1950 in Torrance, Calif., a daughter of the late Clyde W. and Mary L. Stephens Raymond.

She was reared and received her early education in Torrance, Calif. She moved to Pine Bluff in 1969.

Sandra married James Gifford on March 22, 1979, in Lincoln County.

She was employed at Wheeling Industry, as a machine operator for 13 years before having to retire due to poor health.

Sandy was a Baptist.

She is survived by her husband, James Gifford; a son, Jimmy Nelson of Star City; two daughters, Judy Blundell of Star City and Lisa Wrinkle of Pine Bluff; a sister, Sherrie (She-She) Lansaw of Orange County, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Virgil Farr.

Sandy requested that her body be donated to science to help in research to fight cancer. Her family will hold a private memorial service at a later time.

Jacob Postweiler

Jacob Postweiler, 90, Pine Bluff, died Sunday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 25, 1918, at Blue Island, Ill., to the late Jacob and Oleda McGorden Postweiler.

He was reared and received his early education at Blue Island.

He worked as production supervisor for Illinois Tool Works.

There are no immediate survivors.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Goodwin Postweiler, whom he married Sept. 1, 1949, in Cook County, Ill.

Graveside services for Mr. Postweiler and his wife: 2 p.m. Thursday in Nettleton Cemetery Jonesboro. Arrangements: Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Visitation: today 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
