OKLAHOMA CITY — Milton Britt Manues was the eighth child born to Robert and Sylvia (Sloster) Manues on Jan. 17, 1960, at DeWitt, Ark.

Milton was a loving and playful child. He could always find a good deal and talk to anyone. Milton attended DeWitt schools. He joined the National Guard and served his country for several years. Milton enjoyed his brothers and sisters and helped take care of them.

He moved to Vici, Okla., and worked in the heating and air conditioning field. He spent time in Brewster, Wash., then moved back to Oklahoma. He married Marilyn Kay Bell on April 16, 2004, and was a friend to her son, Jeremy.

Milton and Kay moved to Pine Bluff, Ark., and enjoyed their time together. He was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the First Born while living there. After failing health, they returned to Oklahoma, living in Oklahoma City until his death on June 23, 2009, at his home.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sylvia Manues; sister, Linda Roach; and brothers, Albert Carl, Bobbie Joe and Rodney.

Those left to mourn his passing are his loving wife, Kay of the home; son Jeremy; sister, Charlene and her husband, Glen Davenport of Pine Bluff, Ark.; brothers: Donald of Pine Bluff, Ark., Edward Lee and his wife, Rosella of Lexington, Okla., and Billy Ray of Dumas, Okla., Rusty Evans, who was like a son; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends today, from 6-8 p.m., at Robinson’s.

A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2009, 10 a.m. at Fitzhugh Cemetery with Rev. David Watkins officiating by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home.
