ARTHUR JOHNSON

ST. LOUIS — Arthur “Art” Johnson, 79, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Monticello, died Monday June 22 at the VA Hospital in Jefferson Barracks, MO. He was born July 3, 1929 in Monticello.

He was retired from St. Louis Lambert International Airport, a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Thomas and Maurine Ward; three sons, Willie Tannan, James Keith Hurt and Trey Owens; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Union Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
