MABEL STOVER


RISON — Mabel Alene Hall Stover, age 89 of Rison, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home in Warren.

She was born Aug. 25, 1919, in the Bethel Community near Rison, a daughter of the late Henry Hall and Martha DeArmond Hall.

Mrs. Stover retired from the Cleveland County Nursing Home, where she was a nurses aide and was a member of Bethel Number One Missionary Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Stover, whom she married on March 26, 1938; son, Herby Stover; four brothers, Jesse, Willie, Victor and Ira Hall; five sisters, Naomi Manuel, Gertrude Taylor, Myrtle Kinkade, Leona Howerton and Nellie Maroney.

Mrs. Stover is survived by one son, Donald Stover; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Rodney Morrison of Pansy; seven grandchildren, Dave Morrison, Charlie Morrison and Matt Morrison, Brian Werner, Angie Peeples, Brent Stover and Casey Stover ; nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are 10 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Black Cemetery with Rev. Garry Wiles officiating.
