WILLIE ROBERTS

IRVING, Texas — Mrs. Willie Roberts, 69, of Irving, Texas, died June 23, 2009, at Baylor Medical Center in Irving, Texas.

She was born in Slovak, Ark., to the late George Smith Sr. and Elvira McDonald Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Henry Robert Sr.; a daughter, Rose Marie Roberts; two brothers; and five sisters.

Her survivors include five sons, Richard Roberts of Pine Bluff, Ark., John H. Roberts Jr. and Jessie Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas, Cecil Roberts of Arrington, Texas, Gary Roberts of Irving, Texas; and one stepson, Dewayne Roberts of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter, Chestine White of Irving, Texas; four brothers, Willie Smith of Houston, Texas, George Smith Jr. of Pasadena, Calif., Robert Smith of Stuttgart, Ark., and Jessie Smith of Pine Bluff, Ark.; and one sister, Deloris Berkhalter of Lancaster, Calif.; 42 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

Her services will be Friday, July 3, 2009, at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Charles Boyd at 1 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church from noon until time of service. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, July 2, 2009, at Trinity Annex Building, 2900 W. Sixth, Pine Bluff, from 5:30-7 p.m. by Christian Way Funeral Home.

The family will be at 4006 Royal Forrest Drive.
