Several agencies will be closed today or Saturday for the Independence Day (July 4th) holiday. The following have announced their closing schedules:

Schools

Area elementary and high schools — closed for summer.

Southeast Arkansas College — closed today.

University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff — closed today.

Financial institutions

Bank of America — closed Saturday.

Simmons First National Bank — closed Saturday.

Pine Bluff National Bank — closed Saturday.

Bank of Star City — closed Saturday.

Union Bank — closed Saturday.

Watson Chapel and White Hall Financial Centers — closed Saturday.

Pine Bluff Cotton Belt Credit Union — closed today.

Fairfield Federal Credit Union — closed today.

Pine Bluff Arsenal Federal Credit Union — closed today.

Pine Federal Credit Union — closed today.

Federal court, related offices — closed today.

U.S. Postal Service

Pine Bluff’s main post office, White Hall and Oak Park post offices will close at noon today, however full delivery service and mail collections will be provided. The postal service will be closed Saturday.

Jefferson County

& city offices

Jefferson County Courthouse and related offices — closed today.

Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System — closed today and Saturday.

Pine Bluff Convention Center & Visitors Bureau — closed today.

Pine Bluff City Hall — closed today.

White Hall City Hall — closed today.

The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas — closed today and Saturday.

Pine Bluff Transit — closed today.

Utilities, garbage services

United Water Co. — closed today.

Waste Management of Arkansas — closed Saturday.

Other state or local agencies

Department of Human Services — closed today.

Jefferson County Health Department — closed today.

Southeast Arkansas Chapter of the American Red Cross — closed today.

Jefferson Comprehensive Care Center — closed today.

Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas — SEAT will provide transportation for dialysis and cancer patients only today. The senior centers will be closed today, however the Area Agency office will be open.

The Pine Bluff Commercial — The business offices will be closed today, however newspapers will be delivered on the regular schedule.
