SUE MCNULTY

Sue Pittman McNulty, 62, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Born in Lake Village, Ark., on Nov. 12, 1946, to the late James Vardaman Pittman, Sr. and Stella Mae Woods Pittman, she was reared and received her early education in Lake Village, graduating from Lake Village High School in 1964. She attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

She married John Nevings McNulty in Lake Village on Dec. 19, 1965 and resided in Pine Bluff for 42 years.

Sue loved her children, grandchildren, family, and many friends. She loved attending her grandchildren's sports activities, was an avid fisher, enjoyed stock car races, knitting, and spending time with family and friends on the lake. She loved her job.

Sue worked for the Pine Bluff School District for twenty-one years as a Special Education Aide and as Administrative Assistant at Sam Taylor Elementary and Southeast Middle Schools.

She was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Nevings McNulty; son, John Pittman McNulty of Pine Bluff; daughter, Laura Sue McNulty of Pine Bluff; brother; James Vardaman Pittman, Jr. and wife, Faye, of Texarkana; grandchildren, Taylor DeShea McNulty and John Colin McNulty of Pine Bluff; mother-in-law, Alline McNulty of Hot Springs, Ark.; brother-in-law, Phillip A. McNulty and wife, Ellen, of Pine Bluff; nephews, Phillip A. McNulty, Jr. of Hot Springs, Stokley "Kit" Gray of Columbia, Mo., Scott Pittman of Little Rock, Ark.; niece, Shea Lynn Garner and husband, Jeremy, of El Paso, Texas; aunt, Eselle Wilson of Duck Hill, Miss.; and cousins, Judy and Ray Carroll of Grenada, Miss.

Services are Monday, July 6, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Dr. Roger Stewart officiating. Interment follows in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, July 5 from 4 to 6 p.m.
