BRAVES LOSE IN EXTRAS AT WORLD SERIES

The Pine Bluff Braves semi-pro baseball team lost to the Dallas Mariners 15-11 Saturday on the opening day of the United States Baseball Congress World Series.
The Braves carried a one-run lead into the seventh, but the Mariners scored three to take the lead. Pine Bluff scored two in the bottom to tie it at 11, but the Mariners pushed across four in the eighth for the win.
Brett Frost led the way for Dallas with seven RBIs. Earl White led the way for Pine Bluff with a double and four RBIs. He also pitched seven innings.
James Mitchell chipped in with three RBIs. Corey McCoy was 3-for-4 and scored three runs.
