Jessica Grissen

LOVELAND, Colo. — Jessica Joy (Granderson) Grissen, 37, died Sept. 10, 2009, after a brief illness. She was born in Ghana, where her parents were Peace Corps Volunteers.

She is survived by her husband Troy and their three children, Haley 12, Pierce 9, and Joy 6; two brothers, Abraham Granderson serving in the Army JAG in Germany and Gabriel Granderson of Rogers, Arkansas; and her parents Irving and Ruth Granderson also of Rogers.

Jessica grew up in Pine Bluff and Rogers, Arkansas and graduated from John Brown University, where she met and married Troy Grissen. They shared a loving 15 years together living in Arkansas, Missouri, New York, Germany and Oregon before moving to Loveland, Colorado this August.

Jessica is remembered for her bright smile, friendliness and the care she showed towards needy and elderly people. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be dearly missed.

A visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12 at Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland. A memorial gathering was held at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 14 at our chapel.
