An interesting and enthusiastic meeting of the Twentieth Century club was held this afternoon at 3 o’clock in the home of Mrs. Vernon Guess on West Twenty-second avenue.
Gaily colored garden flowers were used in abundance throughout the home, and a color motif of white and yellow was carried out in all appointments.
Mrs. G.C. Hammons, the president, was in the chair and plans for the year’s work were outlined.
Mrs. F.C. Hoskins, who was a delegate from the Twentieth Century Club to the City Federation luncheon and meeting held yesterday, gave an excellent report of the meeting and year books were distributed.
Three topics in Current history were discussed and the titles were as follows:
(a) Defense Day
(b) Presidential Campaign
(c) The New Party
All three subjects were given by Mesdames C.O. Williams, E.O. Reaves and J.L. Donelly, who gave detailed facts concerning the subjects.
An informal social hour followed and a plate luncheon was served. This was the first fall meeting of the club after a vacation of several months.
