The Dollarway Cardinals unleashed a vicious attack to maintain their dominance over highway rival White Hall, blasting the Bulldogs 36-0 Friday night at James Stadium.
The Cardinals utilized the powerful rushing of Robert Baker to smother nearly all of the Bulldogs’ hopes by the half. Baker carried nine times for 79 yards and two touchdowns.
Gerry Click, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Click of 4304 Union Avenue, was recently licensed to preach during a service at South Side Baptist Church. Click is a freshman at Ouachita Baptist University at Arkadelphia.
LONDON — Jimi Hendrix, 24, the American pop singer, died yesterday in London.
LITTLE ROCK — Elijah Coleman of McFadden Road, Pine Bluff, was appointed to the board of trustees of Arkansas State University at Jonesboro by Governor Rockefeller yesterday, becoming the first Negro on the board.
