NANCY BABIN

MONTICELLO — Nancy Carroll Sipes Babin, 66 of Monticello, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at her home. She was born Aug. 31, 1943 in Pine Bluff.

She was Loan Department Manager at Commercial Bank, having been employed for 32 years, and was a Baptist. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Carroll Gibbs and Mildred Gertrude Appling Gibbs and was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Jackson. Nancy was an avid bowler and bingo player.

Survivors include two daughters, Suzette Ethridge of Selma and Jeri Todd of Monticello; one son, Robert Taylor of Monticello; three sisters, Betty Norton of Monticello, Peggy Frizzell of Sherwood and Joyce Abernathy of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren, Adam Todd, Alex Todd, Dillon Todd, Drew Todd, Leah Lathan and Joshua Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Gavin Todd, Carson Johnson and Dustin Johnson.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery by Stephenson-Dearman.
