Pine Bluff police are continuing their investigation into two homicides in less than 12 hours in the city.
The first was reported at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday after police were sent to the area of 15th Avenue and Mulberry Street where they found a male lying in the driveway of an apartment complex.
The victim, whose name was not released pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene by County Coroner Chad Kelley.
Police were questioning a suspect in that slaying but as of Wednesday morning, no arrests had been made.
At about 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sgt. Greg Holland said officers found the body of a second man inside a room at a motel in the 2700 block of East Harding Avenue. He had also been shot to death.
The man had not been identified Wednesday morning and Holland said no suspects have been identified.
He also said investigators have not determined if the two deaths are related.
