FLOODING, POWER OUTAGES REPORTED IN GRANT COUNTY

In Grant County, Lisa Bray of the Office of Emergency Management reported that the county has been declared a disaster area because of the storm system that hit the county Thursday night.

Bray said power outages were reported in the northern and eastern parts of the county, and trees were down all over the county.

“We’ve got major flooding on a lot of our roads but there have been no reports of injuries that we’re aware of right now,” Bray said at about 9:30 a.m. Friday.

She said OEM officials were out Friday morning inspecting various areas and trying to determine if there had been damage to occupied structures.
