A Pine Bluff resident died Friday morning after a collision on U.S. 270 with an 18-wheeler.
Marcus Rouse, 20, was pronounced dead at 7:15 a.m., Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley said.
Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler said the accident occurred after 6 a.m. Friday.
The preliminary State Police report said Rouse was driving a 1995 Honda Accord east on U.S. 270, when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 1997 Freightliner head-on. The 18-wheeler was traveling west.
Rouse reportedly was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the second vehicle, Charles Roberts, 55, of Mount Ida, also was injured. He was wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report.
