BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: LADY BULLDOGS OFF, RUNNING AT OBU TOURNAMENT

The Star City Lady Bulldogs got out to an 18-2 lead after the first quarter and used a 15-7 third-quarter outing to defeat Arkadelphia 61-40 Thursday in the Ouachita Baptist Tournament.
Junior Jerrica Scott led the way with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Yasmine Pace scored 13 points and Juquecia Linsy chipped in with 10.
Star City plays in the finals Saturday against the winner of Sheridan-Hot Springs.
Watson Chapel 49, Pulaski Oak Grove 9
The Watson Chapel Junior High girls capped off a successful week by blowing out Pulaski Oak Grove on Thursday. Chelsea Payne had 12 points while Kamera Bozeman had 10.
Watson Chapel beat West Helena 32-26 Tuesday and Jack Robey 31-26 Monday.
Dollarway 41, Helena-West Helena 38
Helena-West Helena led 24-8 at halftime after Dollarway Middle School made only 1 of 23 field goals, but the Junior Cardinals stormed back to take the game in overtime Thursday at the Jack Robey Classic.
Dequan Christmas led Dollarway in scoring with 18 points while Tracy Smith chipped in with eight. Dollarway plays in the championship game at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Jack Robey 53, Dumas 52
The Jack Robey girls basketball team defeated Dumas Junior High on Thursday in the Jack Robey Classic.
Robey (2-1) was led by Victoria Broady with 15 points while Asia Richardson scored 13 and Ashmere Nelson added 10. Robey Will play Helena-West Helena for the championship at 1:20 p.m. Saturday.
