A former Pine Bluff woman accused of stealing more than $150,000 from an elderly man will be coming back to Jefferson County to face the charges.
Rebecca Hall, 46, formerly known as Rebecca Hall Turchi, signed a waiver of extradition during a court appearance in Harrison County, Mississippi, Friday morning, Sheriff’s Capt. Bernard Adams said.
Hall was being held there after being arrested in Gulfport, Miss., by the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
Adams said he and Major Greg Bolin would be going to Mississippi Sunday to bring Hall back, and she is expected to appear in court Monday.
Prosecutors had filed 17 counts of theft of property against the woman and a fugitive warrant was issued after she failed to appear in court for a trial in May.
As a condition of a divorce decree granted May 27, she was returned to her former name of Hall and prohibited from using the name Turchi.
