Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., will present the Hamilton Vogue-Esquire Models of Chicago at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Isaac Hathaway Fine Arts Center auditorium on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.



  • Mr. and Mrs. David Sowrheaver of 1 Beverly Street, announce the birth of a daughter, Shannon Kathleen, on November 13 at Jefferson Hospital. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Gregory of Pine Bluff and Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Sowrheaver of Rison. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Osco Via of Star City and R.W. Tolleson of Bigelow.



  • New members-at-large of the board of directors of Arkansas Post Girl Scout Council were introduced at the group’s recent annual luncheon meeting at the youth building of the First Presbyterian Church.

    They are: Mrs. Charles Bonner, Mrs. Jimmy Williams, Mrs. Cecil McBryde and Mrs. W.I. Reid, all of Pine Bluff; and, Mrs. Charles Howell of Stuttgart.
