JOHN STONE

John William Stone, 76, a life-long resident of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 25, 1932, in Pine Bluff, he was a son of William C. and Eula Bell Ligon Stone.
Mr. Stone was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff. He attended the Frank Evonne Private School. John William Stone married Jo Ann Mustachia on March 15, 1952, in Pine Bluff. For a time he made his living as a freelance steel guitar player in Nashville. He later started a business providing vending facilities for the blind, which he operated for 42 years. Mr. Stone was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Stone of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one daughter, Luanne Atkinson- Bledsoe of Conway; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Kevin Atkinson and Reverend Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son
