TULSA, OKLAHOMA - Sonia Lou Riffle Ingram, 81, died Dec. 24 at her Tulsa home.
Services are 10 a.m. December 28, 2016 at Catholic Church of the Madalene in Tulsa with burial in Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary was said at on December 27, 2016 at the church.
Sonia was born December 6, 1935, to the late Frank Howard and Freida Claire Riffle. She attended the University of South Carolina at Columbia, S.C., before marrying her high school sweetheart, Benjamin Hanlon Ingram of Columbia, of June 4, 1955.
Sonia was an Arkansas delegate for Ronald Reagan to the 1976, 1980 and 1984 Republican National Conventions. She served as regent of the Pine Bluff Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
Sonia took great delight in her grandchildren, Elizabeth Ingram Schneider (Justin) of Golden, Colo.; Virginia Ingram Stricklen (Kyle) of Corinth, Miss.; Joel Southern and John Southern, both of Fort Smith, Ark.; Aubrey Ingram and Sky Ingram, both of Mobile, Ala.; Leigh Cummins of Washington, D.C.; and Meg Cummins of Nashville, Tenn.; and her great-grandchildren, Michael Stricklen of Corinth and Harmony Southern of Fort Smith.
The adoration Sonia had for her beloved golden lab Jenna was mutual. She never tired of bragging on her children and saying how proud of them she was.
Survivors include Hanlon, her husband of more than 60 years; sons, William Dennis Ingram and wife Michelle of Tulsa, Okla., and Charles Gerard Ingram and wife LouAnn of Mobile, Ala.; daughters Rebecca Ingram Southern and husband Michael of Fort Smith, Ark., and Ruth Ingram Cummins and husband Kelly of Clinton, Miss.; and sister, Mary Jo Bauer of Monroe, Ohio.
