Youth with Full Circle 360, 1415 S. Main St., distributed free clothes, coats, shoes, food and other items to hundreds in the community Dec. 3.
“The event was a part of our give back component of the program in which youth take part in activities that help individuals, families, neglected areas, etc., in efforts to make a difference,” a spokesman said in a news release.
Youth had an opportunity to work and learn from members of The Vikette Society Inc. as they donated bags of clothes, shoes and more for participants to resell in efforts to generate funds to help the programs, the spokesman said.
Full Circle, a non-profit agency, has two primary programs that youth can participate in throughout the year — Work Learn Earn and Give back and Reach Teach and Give back. Programs are available to youth ages 12 to 17 years old. Currently, there are 18 youth in these programs but more than 100 applicants are awaiting placement, the spokesman said.
Full Circle will be offering additional services to continue efforts to generate funds to help as many young people possible. The agency offers special thanks to all who donated coats and clothes for the distribution.
The resale store of Full Circle is open Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday 1-6 p.m.
