Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Fisheries biologists will host a public input meeting regarding fisheries management on Lake Chicot.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Lake Village Expo. Game and Fish officials are revising the Fishery Management Plan for Lake Chicot and seeks public input.

“The management plan will deal with regulations, stocking, habitat, and any other concerns directly related to fishing on Lake Chicot,” the spokesman said.

The meeting will include a short presentation of the current status of the fishery followed by a period of structured public input. A follow up meeting will be held Thursday, March 2, to present the completed management plan and seek final input.

“We would like to encourage all anglers interested in Lake Chicot to attend both of these meetings,” the spokesman said.
