A motorcoach full of Relyance Bank Crown Clubbers recently took a trip to Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas.
After stopping in Texarkana at Cracker Barrel for lunch the group headed to Grapevine, their destination for the next two nights where they were greeted with a wine and cheese reception.
“They then departed for dinner in downtown Grapevine alive with millions of magical lights, enormous decorations, more than 80 shops, wine tasting rooms and restaurants along historic Main Street,” a spokesman said.
After the Magic of Christmas Light Show at the town square gazebo, they departed for the Gaylord Texan Resort overlooking Lake Grapevine featuring 4.5 acres of indoor gardens of tropical plants and waterways.
The next morning the group departed for a guided tour of historic Grapevine. Founded in 1844, Grapevine is the oldest community in Tarrant County and has nearly 50,000 people.
The group had an afternoon free to explore and shop Grapevine. Many enjoyed additional museums, glass blowing and Dr. Sue’s Chocolates. Later they attended the presentation of “The Gift of Christmas” at Prestonwood Baptist Church.
“The ‘Gift of Christmas’ production includes visually stunning elements and favorite songs of the Christmas season followed by the Gospel message brought to life through a breathtaking and powerful presentation depicting the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ.
