The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St., invites the community to its Second Saturday Family Fun Day from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 11.


“Visitors of all ages create their own art piece with the beautiful Bayou Bartholomew as their muse,” a spokesman said in a news release.


During the event, Star City Middle School students will present footage of drone photography based upon Bayou Bartholomew.


Bayou Bartholomew: In Focus, a juried photography exhibition opened Jan. 19 in the Simmons Gallery at the arts center and features images of Bayou Bartholomew.


Additional activities include art projects based upon the exhibit, STEAM Studio, Tinkering Studio, Stop Motion Animation and Dinosaurs:Fossils Exposed.


The Second Saturday Family Fun Day program offers monthly hands-on arts and science activities where visitors create art, complete science projects, or perform dance, music, or theater. Activities complement current art or science exhibitions.


Activities are free and led by visiting artists, local art educators, and ASC staff. All activities are free thanks to the Arkansas Community Foundation, Pine Bluff Area, according to the release.
