A Pine Bluff man was arrested Friday after another man was shot on the west side of the city.
According to a probable cause affidavit from Pine Bluff Police Detective Marvin Cawthon, the alleged victim, who was not identified in the affidavit, was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center and told police the shooter’s name was Eric.
While searching the area near 19th Avenue and Amis Street where the shooting occurred, officers saw a male walking from behind a house who was identified as Eric Adams, 45.
The alleged victim identified Adams from a six-person photo lineup as the person who shot him.
Cawthon reported that when Adams was questioned, he said he did not shoot the victim, but did say that he had gotten into a verbal altercation with him.
Adams was held on probable cause of first-degree battery pending the filing of formal charges.
