A group called Pastors of Pine Bluff will present their first Community Sunrise Service from 7-8 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 16, at Saracen Landing, 200 Lake Saracen Drive.


The community is invited to attend. The guest preacher will be the Rev. G.L. Sanders, pastor of McGehee Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at McGehee.


Featured guests will be the Pine Bluff High School Dark Cloud Marching Band, which will benefit from the proceeds of the event, according to a news release.


The theme is “We Are Better Together!” (Psalms 133:1)


According to a spokesman, residents are also encouraged to attend Sunday School and worship at the participating churches, including Barraque Street Baptist Church, Bethel New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, First Assembly of God, First Missionary Baptist Church, Grace & Mercy Baptist Church, Lampkin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, New Direction Missionary Baptist Church, New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church, Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, St. Mark Baptist Church, St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church and Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
