Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc. will conduct Mobile Youth Empowerment Strategies for local youth-serving organizations for students in 6-10th grades.

The program will be held June through August in collaboration with the Department of the Interior National Parks Service and Little Rock Central High School Historic Site.

The ICVR Pen or Pencil Initiative connects youngsters to civil rights history while emphasizing the importance of education. Students are also exposed to the consequences of negative behaviors which can lead to the penitentiary, according to a news release.

Other components of MYES are drug prevention, conflict resolutions and anti-bullying activities.

Mobile MYES sessions can be scheduled by contacting the ICVR Office at 870-730-1131. A student registration fee is required.
