James Cook III:
James D. Cook III, 55, of Wilmar was born Monday, December 11, 1961 in Grady, Ark. to James D. Cook Sr. and the late Elfannia Daniel Cook. He peacefully entered into God's eternal rest on Monday, May 15, 2017.
His greatest love, aside Jesus Christ, was the love of his fiance', Debra Block; son, Jeremy Brown, and grandson, Jeremy Brown, Jr.
He also leaves to cherish his memories: his father, James D. Cook, Sr. of Grady; four brothers- Clyde Daniel (Sonja) of Grady, Calvin Bruce Cook of Hampton, Robert Skinner of Houston, Texas, and Big Brother Sie Moore (Evelyn) of Little Rock; seven sisters- Rosie Cook of Little Rock, Catherlean Wright (Brad) of Centerville, Md., Jetton Cole (Samuel) of Jackson, Miss., Latoniah Harris (Chauncey) of N.C., Elizabeth Hegwood (Vernell), Leslie Tosca (Danny), and Vivian K. Butler (Bobby) all of Pine Bluff; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2017, from 5-7 pm at Perry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 30, 2017 at 11 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Grady with Reverend Bobby Butler officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Grady. Nelba L. Rowland, 90, of Pine Bluff, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Rowland was born September 6, 1926, in England, Ark., to the late Perry W. and Myrtle Benafield Wood. She was reared and received her education in Lonoke County.
She married Guy Fisher Rowland on April 8, 1950, in Keo, Ark.
Mrs. Rowland was a homemaker and a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Guy Fisher Rowland and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son, Guy “Buddy” (Barbara) Rowland of Pine Bluff; daughter, Barbara Lynn Miller of Bismarck; step-grandson, Christopher Knickerbocker of Little Rock; brother, Lloyd Wood of Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Louise Robinson of Woodlawn.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2017 at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Howard Loetscher officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

LADD - Violetta Catherine "Memaw" Roberts, age 76, of Ladd passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Roberts was born July 4, 1940 in Texarkana, Texas, to the late Chauncy M. and Francis Hanes Matthews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert I. Roberts; son, Drew Roberts; brother, George N. Matthews; grandchildren, Adam Roberts and Stormy Dawn Roberts.
Ms. Roberts is survived by one son, Jeff M. (Dawn) Roberts of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Linda (Eddie) Henderson of Pine Bluff and Barbara Coats of Pine Bluff; eleven grandchildren, Rachel, Michael, Edward, Amy, Tristan, Corey, Kristian, Francis, Brittainy, Kendell and Brice; thirteen great grandchildren, Brayden, Caleb, Hayden, Joshua, Logan, Ethan, Gracie, Landon, Haley, Isabella, Andrew, Adrea, Hunter and Mason.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff with Brother James Watson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Ms. Roberts' grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
