James McDade:

Lamar McDade, 81, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, July 7, 2017 in Star City.

Born James Lamar Anthony McDade, he was born January 12, 1936 in Rison, son of Ed and Vera Mae Pierce McDade.

Mr. McDade was reared and received his early education in Fordyce. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1957 and proudly earned his GED in 1966.

He was a conductor for the Cotton Belt Railroad from 1967 until 1997.

Mr. McDade was a member of The Church of Christ and Local 462 U.T.U.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings, Lucille McDougal, Lena Mae Granderson, Verna Sue Berg, Mary Ella Granderson, R.E. “Buddy” McDade, Mamie Ruth Todd, Ora Lee McBryde, Rachel Lochala and Charles Franklin McDade.

Survivors include his wife, Faydra Hamilton McDade, whom he married May 30, 1954 in Fordyce; daughter, Donna Jean Pennington (Larry) of Star City; two sons, Michael Anthony McDade (Loretta) of Pine Bluff and Charles Brian McDade (Cheryl), of Sheridan; grandchildren, Tanya Jean Hill (Brad), Amanda Leigh Pennington, Joshua Lamar McDade (Lauren), Nicole Terrell, Jamie Love (Stephen) and Brittany McDade; great-grandchildren, Ava Claire Hill, Slade Allen McDade, Sophia Paige McDade, Kirk Spencer, Keria Ryndell, Cameron Love, Kayson Love, Dawson Gustus, and Chloe Gustus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10am, Thursday, July 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Mr. Walton Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson’s.

Curtis White:

MONTICELLO - Curtis Henry White, age 76 of Monticello, Ark., passed away Friday, July 7, 2017. He was born June 8, 1941 in Monticello, Ark., and was a son of the late Grady and Maudella White.

Survivors include two sons, Henry Lee White of White Hall, Ark. and Jimmy Dale White of Genoa, Ark.; one grandson, Derek White and wife Tiffany, his great-grandchildren Preslee White and Deacon White all of Monticello; his brother, James White and wife Karen of El Dorado, Ark.; his sister, Ann Durham of Little Rock, Ark., and many family members and friends.

Rhonda Ezell:

SHERIDAN - Rhonda Lynn Wagnor Ezell, 51 of Sheridan, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017.

Born March 12, 1966 at Pine Bluff, she was the daughter of Jo Ann Elkins Wagner and the late Roger Wagner, Sr.

Mrs. Ezell was a member of Poyen First Assembly of God.

She was a Class of ‘84 graduate of White Hall High School, and received her associates degree from South East Arkansas College.

A homemaker first and foremost, her pastimes were spending time with family and friends.

She was a licensed Cosmetologist & Beautician at Sassy Cuts Beauty Salon.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Ezell is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Charles “Chuck” D. Ezell, Jr.; son, Charles “Dale” Ezell III (Tori); brother, Lyle Wagner; four grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 12th, 10 a.m. at Cranford Funeral Chapel of White Hall with Brother Mike Sullivan and Brother Stephen Harrison officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

JACKSONVILLE - Mrs. Millison Snow, 79, of Jacksonville, Ark. passed July 9, 2017. Arrangements will be announced by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.

Mary Rash:

MONTICELLO - Mary Kathleen Rash, age 90 of Monticello, Ark. went to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was born August 15, 1926 in Monticello, Ark. to the late Robert and Velma Cruce Lawson.

She was a member of Enon Baptist Church of Monticello. Her first job, upon graduation from high school was in Oak Ridge, Tenn. where she worked as a teletype operator supporting the Manhattan Project, (WWII Atomic bombs). She also served as secretary, for numerous years, at the Arkansas Rehabilitation Center of Arkansas in Monticello and later worked in the Financial Aid Department at UAM until she retired. She was also a graduate of Draughon Business School. However, her greatest challenge and achievement was the rearing of three children, imparting her love for Christ and His Word to them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Garland Rash; two sisters, Joyce Lawson James and Robbie Lawson Cater; brother Devon and baby sister Ruby Veldean.

Survivors include, one brother, Bruce Lawson (Rachel); two daughters, Donna Rash Gober and husband Mike and Diane Rash Carter and husband Ronnie; son Dennis Rash and wife Teresa; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends with whom she shared her life and love.

Many thanks go out, from the family, to those at Salem-Place Nursing and Rehab Center and Kindred Hospice as well, for those who lovingly cared for our loved one through her journey home. Thanks to you from the bottom of our hearts.
