The Pine Bluff Police Department will present a graduation ceremony for approximately 250 children who completed the Police And Youth Camp (P.A.Y. Camp). The event will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
The P.A.Y. Camp is a program that allows youth to participate in events under the guidance of police officers during the summer.
“It benefits the community by letting our younger citizens interact with law enforcement officers in a non-enforcement capacity,” a spokesman said. “At the same time, the kids got to experience of a variety of fun and games as well as classroom work designed to help them in life. All classes are geared toward pointing our young citizens toward becoming confident and capable young adults.”
