The Kiwanis Club of Pine Bluff meets at noon Wednesdays at the Pine Bluff Country Club. Programs include:


Wednesday, July 19:


The duo of Charnin and Pearl will be the guest speakers and singers. The duo consists of soprano Eleanor Pearl, daughter of Kathy and Jack Stradley of Pine Bluff, and pianist/music director Colby Charnin. Pearl will tell how she got her start in Pine Bluff through local programs for youth artists. She will also speak briefly about programs for children she is conducting in New York, where she and Charnin reside, according to a news release. Charnin and Pearl will also entertain the audience with selections from “An Afternoon of Opera” concert they presented Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church. The community is invited to attend.


Wednesday, July 26:


The guest speaker will be state Rep. Mike Holcomb, R-District 10. Holcomb is serving his third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. His district includes portions of Lincoln, Cleveland, Grant, Drew, and Jefferson counties. Holcomb currently serves as chairman of the House Public Transportation Committee. He also serves on the House City, County, and Local Affairs Committee and the Joint Budget Committee. Holcomb attended Southern Baptist College. He has spent 28 years in public education as a teacher and administrator. He is a former Jefferson County judge and previously served on the Jefferson County Quorum Court.
