The Camden Road Extension Homemakers Club met at the Whiteville Baptist Church. Eleven members attended the June meeting.


President Jo Segars gave the thought, “The train of failure runs on the track of laziness.”


Nancy Sumner gave the Homemakers Creed. Dorothy Green gave the Handy Hint: “Two things are hard on the heart — running upstairs and running down people.”


Wanda Felts gave the inspiration: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens Me,” Phil.4:13.


Roll call by Vicky Inich questioned members “Do you exercise regularly?” The physical activity program was given by Kathy Rogers.


Old and new business followed the program. Betty Johnson gave a report on the Arkansas state meeting.


For the summer months different items are needed by CASA for the children and were collected and delivered. Jo Segars and Vicky Inich taught a Pine Cone Flower workshop June 22.


Christmas in July will be held July 27 where the Camden Road Club is the host during between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. A potluck lunch will be held at the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension office.

The 2017 Arkansas Rice Expo will be held Friday, Aug. 4, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Grand Prairie Center at Stuttgart.


The Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service will host the Fair Judging School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15.


Also, Aug. 22 is the date for officers training from 9:30 a.m. to noon and Aug. 23, the Camden Road Club picnic will be held at Harbor Oaks at 11 a.m.
