The Arkansas Business & Education Alliance recently published a list of the statewide Class of 2017 Arkansas Scholars. The alliance encourages and motivates students to take the “SMART CORE” curriculum during their four years of high school, make semester grades of “C” or better in all courses, maintain a 95 percent attendance record and graduate on time, according to a news release.


Nearly 200 high school seniors from Jefferson County school districts were recognized as Arkansas Scholars and received certificates at their schools.
