The Delta Rivers Nature Center at Regional Park invites the community to several upcoming events:

• Saturday, July 29 — At 11 a.m., the nature center will host “paint a rock” craft.

• Saturday, Aug. 5 — From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the center will host archery.

Each Saturday at 3 p.m., the center will host fish feeding at the aquarium, followed by eagle feeding and end with feeding the large alligator outside.

The Marksmanship Challenge for students in grades 1-12 has been moved to Saturday, Sept. 23. Students compete in different styles of archery, BB guns, laser shots and casting accuracy. The event is free and trophies are awarded to top shots in each age group.

The Marksmanship Challenge is usually held right before school starts, but the center is moving it to National Hunting and Fishing Day and hopes the weather is cooler, a spokesman said.
