Whispering Knoll Assisted Living Facility presented its annual Christmas in July celebration July 25.
Residents and family members had a special Christmas dinner prepared by the dietary team. The climax of the evening was a Bingo party sponsored by athletic department heads at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
The residents look forward to the coaches hosting this special event and providing UAPB paraphernalia, because the center has alumni residents.
One resident is Dorothy Branch, who had 16 children to graduate from UAPB.
“She loves to let everyone know that all here children are successful graduates from the university,” a spokesman said.
Each resident also received a Christmas gift provided by RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), Jeanette Lightfoot, coordinator, and Wanda Bateman, a local business owner.
